On this day two years ago, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and allowed millions of people’s rights to be torn away.
John,
Today marks two years since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. 👎
The incredibly difficult, and personal, decision about whether to get an abortion should be between a woman + her doctor. End of story.
The Supreme Court – thanks to its three Trump-appointed justices – does not agree.
By overturning Roe, the Court snatched the right to make intimate healthcare decisions away from women and instead gave that right to extremist Supreme Court Justices and other “local political leaders.” And they didn’t stop there.
Republicans have steadily stripped away reproductive freedoms with some states banning abortions and even threatening to punish healthcare providers who provide the service. 😠
Now, Republicans in Congress have introduced legislation for a national abortion ban. Not on my watch.
Republicans f*cked around with women's rights, now in November they're gonna find out.
I came to the Senate to be the 51st vote on crucial policy efforts like codifying Roe into law and you can count on me to stand up against every effort by Republicans to further restrict women’s rights.
We need to defend our majority in the Senate and restore reproductive freedoms back to the women of this nation, but it’s going to take us showing up in a big way for reproductive freedom this November to stop these Republicans from taking away anymore rights. 💯
Are you in this fight with me, John? If so, please pitch in $5 today to support my work and help us defend our slim majority. There is far too much on the line to sit back now.
