Good afternoon,
My name is Graciela Nuñez, and I'm writing to you today as a Washingtonian whose life has been deeply affected by Bob Ferguson's work as Attorney General.
Bob's opponents are accusing him of being too focused on President Trump and the "other Washington," as if his lawsuits to protect our rights, our environment, and our future don't matter here in Washington state.
To be blunt, for so many of us, nothing matters more.
My parents and I fled Venezuela in 2002, when I was just seven years old. I've lived in the United States for nearly 18 years. Washington state is my home. I'm one of the nearly 18,000 DREAMers in our state, and thanks to the promise the federal government made to me with the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, I was able to graduate from the University of Washington and work as an advocate for my community without fear of deportation.
That changed two and a half years ago, when the Trump administration broke the government's promise and illegally rescinded DACA -- an action that made DREAMers like me subject to deportation. Bob Ferguson jumped into action and filed a challenge in federal court the next day. He won! And he has fought the administration all the way up to the Supreme Court to defend me and protect my future.

Let's be clear: Congress isn't protecting me.
Bob's lawsuit is the only thing protecting thousands of DREAMers like me from deportation. DREAMers are contributing to our economy and community. They are delivering health care to the sick during the global pandemic.
Bob doesn't back down from a fight when Washingtonians' rights are at stake, even when his political opponents use it to attack him.
Your contribution today will send a message to Bob's opponents that my ability to pursue my dream matters. [link removed]
