John,
Two years ago today, in one of its worst decisions in recent memory, the Supreme Court overturned nearly 50 years of established precedent when it ruled to overturn Roe v. Wade.
But this ruling didn’t come as a surprise.
In fact, overturning Roe had been the GOP’s game plan all along. And when given the opportunity to do just that, the extremist anti-choice majority leapt on it.
Now, two years later, the state of reproductive freedom in the United States depends on where you live.👇
In 14 states, there are either near or total abortion bans that have resulted in some traveling thousands of miles from home to receive what is often essential or life-saving care.
And despite the Supreme Court’s declaration that they were simply “returning the issue of abortion back to the states,” we know anti-choice extremists are never going to be satisfied until they outlaw abortion everywhere.
In several states and on the national stage there has been a renewed push on the part of GOP lawmakers to continue to restrict access to abortion medications, IVF access, contraception, and other forms of reproductive healthcare.
Even though an overwhelming majority of Americans have consistently signaled their support for reproductive freedoms, the MAGA right has promised to go even further if Donald Trump retakes the White House in November.1
When we say this election will be like no other, John — we truly mean it.
There is too much at stake for us to remain sitting on the sidelines. If we’re going to continue to fight back against the GOP’s war on reproductive freedom, we must bolster our resources to educate everyone on the importance of reproductive rights — and what’s currently at stake.
If you'd like to join us in making a difference today, please consider supporting these 4 organizations that are working to advance reproductive rights every day.
In solidarity,
