Here's the latest from the Campaign Trail: I was honored to receive a Proclamation naming me a "Champion of Freedom" on Juneteenth. The honor came from the Greater Chicagoland Black Chamber of Commerce.

It's great to be recognized for my adherence to the promises of America: That "all men are created equal" and are entitled to "liberty and justice for all."

When we abide by the Constitution, the American Dream can flourish. We just need to return to our first principles.

That means protecting our rights, upholding the law, securing our border and freeing the economy so families and workers can flourish.

Dr. Cornel Darden Jr., from Greater Chicagoland Black Chamber of Commerce, along with Beth Findley Smith with LaSalle County GOP, awarding Jim Marter a Proclamation, designating him as a "Champion of Freedom"

The Proclamation reads in part:

“Whereas, James Marter advocates for all members of the 14th District and intends to be a voice of all in the U.S. Congress; Now therefore, be it resolved that I, Dr. Cornel Darden Jr., Chairman of the border of the Greater Chicagoland Black Chamber of Commerce do hereby proclaim James Marter as a Champion of Freedom on this historic day of Juneteenth, June 19th, 2024 in the great city of Lasalle, IL.”

Jim Marter is the 2024 Republican Nominee for US Congress (IL-14) to replace his opponent, Democrat Lauren Underwood. More information about his campaign and his growing list of endorsements may be found at www.marter4congress.us.
