John,
Two years ago today, the United States Supreme Court issued a catastrophic ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which effectively overturned the protections of Roe v. Wade.
It is no exaggeration to say this decision has had disastrous consequences for the right to bodily autonomy, personal choice, and equitable access to healthcare.
In the weeks and months that followed, we’ve seen continued attacks on a woman’s fundamental right to bodily autonomy across the country – including more than 380 bills attacking access to reproductive healthcare and 21 states that have completely banned or restricted abortion.
Two years later, it is perfectly clear: Until we pass a federal law protecting a woman’s right to choose, these horrific policies aren’t going anywhere.
I’m in this for the long haul, John. But, I need to make sure you’re by my side as I run for re-election so I can continue championing reproductive rights – will you support me with a donation of $5 or anything you can today?
Thank you,
Valerie Foushee
