Today is the second anniversary of the victorious Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization decision.

On June 24th, 2022, the U.S. Supreme Court’s landmark Dobbs ruling rightfully overturned Roe v. Wade, saving countless innocent lives. In doing so, the Supreme Court finally dismantled the nearly five decades-long unconstitutional justification of the murder of millions of innocent babies.

In the face of immense national pressure and radical pro-abortion mobs, Justices Samuel Alito, Clarence Thomas, Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett stood firm in their decision to repeal Roe. I commend these Justices for their unwavering commitment to both their sound judicial philosophy and the U.S. Constitution.

Since Dobbs, we’ve gained tremendous ground in the fight for life. Currently, 24 states have laws defending life at 15 weeks or sooner, with 20 states — including Georgia — protecting unborn babies with a heartbeat.

Up in Washington, I remain resolute in the fight to safeguard the sanctity of life. Last year, I led nearly 90 of my House Republican colleagues in reintroducing the Protect the UNBORN (Undo the Negligent Biden Orders Right Now) Act to prohibit the implementation of and funding for President Biden’s pro-abortion executive orders.

Additionally, I’ve cosponsored numerous pieces of pro-life legislation, including:

👣 The Protecting Life and Taxpayers Act: This commonsense bill ensures your hard-earned tax dollars do not fund the evils of abortion.

👣 The Life at Conception Act: This legislation declares what most Americans believe and what science has known all along — that human life begins at conception.

👣 The Protecting Life and Integrity in Research Act: This bill restricts the Department of Health and Human Services from conducting or supporting human fetal tissue research.

Please know that I remain an unapologetic champion of life in Congress. After all, our first and most fundamental right is the right to LIFE!

Amid increasing threats to our unalienable right to keep and bear arms, Americans recently received major Second Amendment victories through the court system. Earlier this month, U.S. District Court Judge Reed O’Connor vacated the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives’ (ATF) unconstitutional pistol brace rule. Millions of Americans — including many service-disabled veterans — rely on stabilizing braces to exercise their Second Amendment freedoms. Yet through the ATF’s rule, the Biden Administration attempted to circumvent Congress’ sole legislative authority by using executive fiat to turn these law-abiding gun owners into criminals for simply attaching this beneficial brace to their firearms. If you recall, my Congressional Review Act joint resolution of disapproval, H.J.Res. 44, to strike down the ATF’s unlawful rule passed the House with bipartisan support last year — sending a powerful message to the courts. I firmly believe that our legislative action helped make this legal win possible, and I applaud Judge O’Connor’s ruling to protect Americans’ Second Amendment freedoms from President Biden’s tyrannical tactics. 

Additionally, in a 6-3 ruling, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned the ATF’s unconstitutional bump stock ban. Justice Clarence Thomas correctly asserted that the ATF “exceeded its statutory authority by issuing a Rule that classifies bump stocks as machineguns.” I couldn’t agree more! It’s imperative that we uphold the separation of powers by ensuring the executive branch does not exceed its constitutional authorities. Thankfully, the Supreme Court’s ruling accomplishes this goal by reining in unelected, anti-gun bureaucrats from creating new laws rather than enforcing existing statutes.

These are both tremendous legal victories, as we must use every tool at our disposal to defeat the Left’s radical gun control agenda. Please know that as an avid defender of our Second Amendment liberties, I will always fight to protect your constitutional right to keep and bear arms through my work in Congress.

Under President Biden’s failed leadership and intentionally destructive policies, our southern border continues to face unprecedented challenges. Chiefly, illegal alien crossings remain alarmingly high, leading to mass chaos and endangering American citizens. Unsurprisingly, Biden’s latest border action will only exacerbate the ongoing invasion.

Last week, the Biden Administration announced a new sweeping executive action to shield some illegal alien spouses and children of American citizens from deportation. The White House anticipates the policy will impact roughly half a million families, including an estimated 50,000 under the age of 21 who are either married to or a child of a U.S. citizen. This mass amnesty scheme undermines our immigration laws, poses significant risks to our communities, and incentivizes both illegal migration and marriage fraud. Simply put, granting amnesty only encourages more illegal aliens to enter our country — jeopardizing the integrity of our borders and rewarding those who have broken our laws. 

Moreover, President Biden’s new radical policy was punctuated by more illegal alien crime — solidifying our nation’s worst fears. In New York City, an Ecuadorean illegal migrant was charged with raping a 13-year-old girl. Days later, two Venezuelan illegal aliens were charged with the horrific murder of a 12-year-old girl in Houston. All three of these criminals illegally entered the country under President Biden and Department of Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas’ watch. Folks, these vile, heartbreaking incidents were 100% preventable. Please know that in the face of President Biden’s intentional illegal invasion and its dire consequences, I remain steadfast in my commitment to secure our borders and protect the American people.
