My name is Robert Spencer. I’m an author, speaker, and expert on global Jihad and Islamic terrorism, and I wanted you to know how pro-Hamas forces are taking over higher education. 

Recently, the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA) blocked me from speaking to their students about Hamas’ reign of terror through a Young America’s Foundation (YAF) lecture. Instead of supporting free speech and open dialogue, UCLA administrators sided with radical leftist agitators and canceled the event.  

UCLA’s reason? They said that the ongoing pro-Hamas leftist supporters on the university grounds posed a safety hazard to the students who wanted to host and attend the event. 

UCLA should have upheld law and order by clearing the encampments and prosecuting all violators to the fullest extent of the law. 

Instead, they took every available action to block me from speaking and to prevent their conservative students from exercising their First Amendment rights to freedom of speech and assembly. 

The organization that invited me to speak – Young America’s Foundation – is suing UCLA for this blatant violation of freedom of speech.

Colleges are supposed to promote learning and dialogue, not to provide sanctuary to radical agitators threatening Jewish students and Jihad on campus. Yet, today, many have become sanctuaries for radical ideologies.

Did you know that according to a recent NBC News poll, only 15% of young people ages 18-29 say their sympathies are with Israel, and nearly 1/3 of students say they sympathize with Palestinians? 

In another poll, 20% of young Americans have a positive view of Osama Bin Laden! 

At UCLA (shortly before I was slated to deliver my speech there), pro-Hamas militants knocked a Jewish girl unconscious and stomped on her Israel flag. And there was no outrage over this by leftist administrators at the college. 

Instead, a conservative coming to speak on campus is the UCLA administrators’ greatest fear and the biggest security threat!
