A woman’s right to choose should not depend on where she lives.
For nearly 50 years, Roe v. Wade protected reproductive choice nationwide. But on this day in 2022, the radical, conservative majority on the Supreme Court stripped away those protections in the landmark decision Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization .
In the two years since Dobbs , Colorado has proven to be a safe haven for reproductive rights and women seeking care. But that’s not true everywhere.
Nearly every state touching Colorado has passed laws restricting abortion. And Republicans nationwide have used Dobbs to attack other freedoms too— like access to birth control, IVF procedures, and same-sex marriage.
In the Senate, I’m working to protect reproductive freedom everywhere — and when I’m not in DC, I’m working to elect pro-choice candidates in key swing states around the country and up and down the ballot in Colorado.
The anniversary of the Dobbs decision is a reminder of the fundamental rights American women lost — and what we must win back by working together.
