Two years ago today, the United States Supreme Court abandoned almost 50 years of precedent by ruling that there is no constitutional right to an abortion and therefore reversing the protections granted by Roe v. Wade.

The overturning of Roe v. Wade paved the way for Texas Republicans and extremists like Monica De La Cruz who are doing everything in their power to strip away women’s rights and freedoms, uphold Texas' extreme abortion laws, restrict IVF and birth control, and put our families in grave danger.

Texas women should be able to choose if and when they start a family, and shouldn’t have to fear getting access to lifesaving care if they need it.
