Julia (she/they) and Holly (she/her) (not pictured) are activists who met at a school board meeting. Now Holly is what Julia calls her “political mom,” and they attend school board meetings and other community events together. Holly is someone Julia can count on to make sure that she feels safe and supported.

When Julia talks about the supportive adults in their life, like Holly, she says that they’ve “enabled me to be able to share my experiences and give me a safe space to explore myself…to have people in my corner is something that is invaluable to me.”
