Family Research Council - Header

Dear John,

For years now, children have been subject to harmful experimentation. From puberty blockers to hormone drugs to so-called "gender-transition" surgeries, our kids are being targeted as test subjects for barbaric experiments motivated by an unscientific, unbiblical, and dangerous gender ideology.

And thousands of parents have been pressured into going along with it, being told by doctors that if their child doesn't receive these "gender-affirming" treatments, they could be in danger of committing suicide.

That. Is. A. Lie.

In fact, more and more studies have come out proving that children who receive "gender-affirming treatment" are MORE likely to commit suicide.

According to a new study that came out in April, "Gender-affirming surgery is significantly associated with elevated suicide attempt risks."

But this isn't the first study that flies in the face of the Left's radical gender ideology!

Research published in the BMJ Mental Health journal earlier this year shows that so-called gender-transition surgeries have "not been shown to reduce even suicidal ideation...." Another study out of Sweden, extensively conducted over the course of 30 years, demonstrated gender transition surgeries increased suicide rates, and that individuals who had undergone such procedures were 20 times as likely to take their own life than the general population.

All of this just confirms what you and I knew instinctively. Gender ideology is not only contrary to God's perfect design for human sexuality, but it's actively harmful to the well-being of the individuals who fall victim to it.

Family Research Council is fighting back with our most effective tool -- the Save Adolescents from Experimentation (SAFE) Act -- which FRC worked with other like-minded individuals to create as model legislation back in 2018.

Our policy experts then connected with Arkansas state legislators and helped them pass the first SAFE Act in April 2021. Since then, SAFE Acts or similar legislation have been introduced in dozens of states, with South Carolina becoming the 25th state to enact such legislation earlier this year.

Family Research Council is committed to continuing the fight and championing SAFE Acts and similar legislation at every level of government until there isn't a single American child that could fall victim to these dangerous drugs and procedures. But we can't do it alone. We need your help.

When you partner with FRC before June 30, you can have twice the impact in protecting our kids from the effects of this radical gender ideology. Thanks to our $2.5 Million Challenge Match, when you choose to defend the faith with FRC, your gift will be doubled, dollar for dollar.

DOUBLE MY IMPACT

Additionally, when you partner with us, you'll receive an official Defending the Faith certificate from FRC. And for gifts of $100 or more, your name will be included on our Defending the Faith plaque at FRC's headquarters in Washington, D.C., designating you as a defender of the faith.

Not only did FRC play a critical role in developing the model legislation for the SAFE Act, but we are actively in the trenches defending the SAFE Act from the Left's opposition.

Our policy experts travel the country testifying on behalf of the SAFE Act before state legislatures, file amicus briefs in response to legal challenges to the legislation, and have even worked to override gubernatorial vetoes in states like Ohio to allow the SAFE Act and similar legislation to go into effect.

This morning, the U.S. Supreme Court announced that it would take up a case challenging Tennessee's SAFE Act, one of the state's whose legislation is embroiled in legal challenges. The justices will likely hear oral arguments sometime this fall, with a ruling expected in the summer of 2025.

We must begin praying now for the court to rule in favor of protecting minors from gender transition procedures!

The opposition to the SAFE Act is strong, but we are undeterred. We're going to keep fighting until our children are protected from coast to coast. That's also why we've wholeheartedly signed on to the Doctors Protecting Children Declaration, which is actively opposing radical gender ideology in the medical field.

When Dr. Jill Simmons, executive director of the American College of Pediatricians, joined me on Washington Watch, she expressed the importance of this declaration, saying, "We at the American College of Pediatricians have been sounding the alarm for years about the harms that are being done to children in the name of standards of care... there is no consensus about these standards of care. And, in fact, they are harmful. So, we are saying 'enough.'"

John, it's time for us to stand up and say "Enough." Will you join us?

Remember, if you partner with FRC before this Sunday, you can participate in our $2.5 Million Challenge Match and have double the impact!

DEFEND THE FAITH WITH FRC

Children who suffer from confusion about their biological sex need help. But so many parents are being emotionally manipulated into believing that they must go along with the Left's gender ideology if their children are feeling confused -- or face fatal consequences. That just isn't true.

We have come to a point where our culture at large can no longer definitively call a lie a lie. Biology is being replaced with ideology. And the consequences are far from over.

We must spread the truth about this insanity. As John 8:32 says, "[A]nd you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."

For more than 40 years, Family Research Council has been defending the faith on the front lines of public policy in D.C. and across America. There has never been a more important time to take a stand for biblical truth.

Will you help us defend the faith by sending your best gift before our critical fiscal year end deadline on June 30?

Together, we can turn the tide!
