As a member of Congress and a medical professional, I'm deeply unnerved by what I've seen in the two years since Roe v. Wade was overturned.

House Republicans continue to push for a nationwide abortion ban that would severely restrict reproductive health care access across the country.

This isn't just about abortion. Their proposals would put IVF treatments at risk, ban safe and FDA-approved medications, funding for contraception and essential health services, and roll back health care access for our veterans.

We've already seen many Republican-controlled states impose abortion bans, with hundreds of bills attacking reproductive health care introduced over the past year.. Now, they're aiming to make these restrictions on our freedoms the law of the land nationwide.
