Growing up, my mother instilled in me the ability to see what could be, unburdened by what has been.

As a pioneer of breast cancer research, she was driven by the belief that every problem has a solution. She taught me to look for those solutions without thinking that we must blindly adhere to tradition. That’s not too different from how President Biden, House Democrats, and I have approached our time in the White House.

From unprecedented investments in our country’s infrastructure and tackling the climate crisis head-on to lowering the cost of prescription drugs and passing the first significant federal gun safety law in nearly 30 years, President Biden and I have sought out solutions undeterred by what has been done before.

But we’ll be the first to admit that we cannot continue this work without your support.
