Hi John,
Today marks two years since the U.S. Supreme Court's decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, which overturned Roe v. Wade and ended the constitutional right to abortion.
For decades, we knew that the GOP had their sights set on overturning Roe. Thanks to the conservative Supreme Court stacked by Donald Trump and draconian bans passed by Republican lawmakers across the country, millions of Americans have suffered devastating consequences over the last two years. To date, nearly one in three Americans who can get pregnant live in a state where abortion is restricted or banned.
For two years, real people's basic rights, personal choice, and life-saving medical care have been ripped away by Republicans who choose to play politics with their constituents' health and lives. And we can count on those same Republicans to pass a national abortion ban very soon unless we, the people, fight back.
