Meet Lance, One of the Most Impactful Investigators in the Animal Rights Movement
Lance, one of our dedicated undercover investigators, has recently retired from the field. We are incredibly grateful for all he has done, not only for Animal Outlook but, more importantly, for the animals. Lance endured the distressing task of witnessing severe cruelty and widespread neglect for over four years, and he also suffered debilitating injuries during his time working undercover.
During his time in the field, Lance worked in a chicken slaughterhouse, a hatchery, a broiler industry chicken facility, and a pork industry facility confining pigs in gestation and farrowing crates. He documented the aftermath of Hurricane Florence, witnessed a cow being delivered to a slaughterhouse that kills cows and horses for pet food, and followed a pig transport truck for 32 hours from Nebraska to California, witnessing the pigs' suffering on this harrowing journey.
Lance’s undercover work has been featured in major news outlets, including The New York Times, CBS, APNews, The Guardian, The Washington Post, and The Daily Mail. His efforts have also provided the basis for several lawsuits, including actions against the USDA and cruelty charges against a facility owner and manager, and Lance brought his experiences to Congress to urge them not to pass the EATS Act, which would roll back animal protection laws.
Thank you, Lance, for your unwavering dedication to uncovering the truth and inspiring others to make compassionate choices by opting to go vegan.
Want to keep investigators like Lance in the field? Your gift today will support brave individuals undertaking this crucial work, providing them with the tools and resources they need to expose the truth and inspire change.

Volunteer With Us at Taking Action for Animals
From July 19 - 21, we’ll be attending the Taking Action for Animals Conference, hosted by the Humane Society of the United States. This event takes place at the Crystal Gateway Marriott hotel in Arlington, Virginia, and we’re currently looking for volunteers in the area to represent Animal Outlook by helping us with tabling.
By tabling, you’ll get to speak to people about our work, hand out literature, and gain sign ups to our newsletter. It’s a great way to build community and speak to other passionate advocates who are doing great work to help animals and inspire others to go vegan.
If you’re interested, please email [email protected] and let us know which days and times you’ll be available to help table from July 19 - 21.
As a non-profit organization, Animal Outlook relies on donations from caring, generous people like you. Every dollar matters. Your support makes a world of difference to farmed animals.
