This time two years ago, we learned the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade and took away federal protections on women’s reproductive rights. Since then, dozens of states have implemented bans on abortion - even in the most extreme circumstances.
I believe the Dobbs ruling is one of the worst Supreme Court decisions in my lifetime. Millions of women are being left without a choice and I am still just as angry as the day it was decided.
But I am committed to reversing this disastrous decision and giving women the autonomy to make their own healthcare decisions in consultation with their doctor.
As a father of two, I understand this fight is for my daughters. I have always stood with women’s rights and I will vote to codify Roe v. Wade into law again if we win this election, and take back the house.
But if extremists remain in control, they will try to pass a nationwide abortion ban that would eliminate a woman’s right to choose - including here in Maine.
My opponent this year is an anti-abortion extremist, opposing women’s reproductive freedom without exceptions. We must fight back to win this race and prevent them from taking away women’s freedom in all 50 states.
