Solutions to our problems? Those who traffic in division want you to
believe they don’t exist. It is commonplace to think that America is too
split by partisanship and tribalism to tackle real problems. Yet every day
at Dream.Org, we encounter people who are building common ground around
common sense solutions – restoring access to food for newly released
people, building a National Green Bank from the ground up, and getting the
skills and training needed to be local changemakers. Not only do solutions
exist, they can help us bridge our divides while creating a future that is
better for all.
In solidarity,
— Nisha Anand

Starvation isn’t rehabilitation, it's torture. Imagine being locked away
for years, released from prison then facing employment, programming, and
compliance requirements — while you're starving. Hunger is a devastating
obstacle for thousands of returning citizens who are cruelly denied SNAP
benefits.
The RESTORE Act aims to repeal the 1996 Supplemental Nutrition Assistance
Program (SNAP) ban for drug offenses, allowing applications before
release. This bipartisan bill ensures immediate access to food and support
— critical for successful reentry and basic human dignity.

Thanks to your support, we’ve established a National Green Bank to combat
climate change and provide affordable loans for clean, renewable energy
nationwide. But now, Big Oil & Gas and their congressional allies are
trying to block funding to kickstart clean energy projects in our
communities.
We’re assembling a team of climate activists eager to speak up and defend
their communities, and we need you. No experience is necessary – just sign
up and we’ll provide all the tools and training you need to advocate, turn
naysayers into supporters, and defend your community’s rights to these
opportunities.

Everyone can dream, but not everyone is willing to DO. Our Sacramento
Justice Next Cohort, in partnership with the NBA Foundation, is ready to
do both.
We found 18 young leaders looking to find solutions for Sacramento's
problems, such as the housing crisis, gun violence, and mental health.
Over the course of 7 weeks, participants engaged in skill-building,
leadership, and professional development – including sessions on
leveraging generative AI, digital campaigning, and advocacy.
Please join us in celebrating these changemakers who are prepared to
positively impact their community, and discover how our cohorts are
changing lives and uplifting solutions.
