Friend,

Today marks two years from the date that Roe v. Wade was overturned by the Supreme Court. This devastating decision to end the right to abortion was made possible by the three far-right justices who were nominated by Donald Trump. Between the attacks on reproductive freedom in the courts and in state legislatures across the country, this has been a major setback for our rights and freedoms.

The future of the Supreme Court is at stake in this year’s presidential election. With four SCOTUS justices in their 70s soon, there is a strong likelihood that the next president could fill one or more of these seats on the court.

Donald Trump cannot be allowed to fill any of these potential vacancies. We must vote this November and prevent a second – and an indisputably more dangerous – Trump administration.

Add your name to our pledge and share that you’ll be a courts voter this fall!>>

We’ll be in touch about more ways you can advocate for fair-minded jurists to be confirmed to our federal courts this fall.

Friend,

During the Trump administration, we witnessed a dramatic shift in the federal judiciary. Judges appointed by Trump have consistently ruled against fundamental rights and freedoms in order to uphold a dangerous and unpopular right-wing agenda. They have jeopardized health care access, rolled back environmental protections, undermined voting rights, decimated reproductive freedom, and threatened the very fabric of our democracy.

And as the MAGA Supreme Court closes out yet another term, we anticipate there will be even more opinions that will weaken our rights and freedoms.

This November, we have the power to protect ourselves, our families, and our communities by voting for leaders who will appoint fair-minded judges (and Supreme Court justices) committed to upholding justice and equality for all. That's why I'm asking you to join me in pledging to "Vote the Courts."

Add your name to our new pledge to say that you are “voting the courts” this November! >>

Since 2017, Trump judges have delivered harmful rulings time and time again. And with more than 200 Trump judges sitting on our federal courts—that number cannot increase if we want to preserve our rights and democracy!

If Trump and MAGA Republicans retake the White House and the Senate, we’re destined to see more MAGA ideologues on the federal bench, people who care more about meeting the needs of the wealthy and powerful than everyday Americans.

Right now – as you read this email – there is a network of conservative activists who are creating lists of potential right-wing judges Trump could nominate to the federal judiciary if he were to defeat President Biden this November.

And it’s not just lower courts they have their sights set on. Many political insiders predict that whoever is president next will likely have the opportunity to nominate two new justices to the Supreme Court. If Trump were to win, it would cement a far-right Supreme Court majority for decades to come.

We cannot allow that to happen.

Will you add your name to the list of committed progressive courts voters in 2024?

As we await decisions from the Supreme Court on abortion, the insurrection, and health and safety, we know that we would be better served by fair-minded jurists who share our values than by any potential future Trump judges.

Thank you for your advocacy around this issue and all that you do.
