Two new polls show Secretary of State Jay Aschcroft holds onto a narrow lead even after Tax Hike Mike Kehoe has spent $6 million dollars on dishonest TV ads.

New polling from Emerson College shows Ashcroft with 23%, Kehoe at 20%, and backbencher Bill Eigel limping in at just 6%. Days later, Missouri Scout show Ashcroft leading 31%, Kehoe right behind at 29%, and Eigel at just 9%.

In spite of the tightening polls, Secretary Ashcroft has weathered a blistering ad campaign designed to hide Mike Kehoe’s record of selling Missouri land to China.
