John,
Two years ago today, extremists succeeded in overturning Roe . With one ruling, they overturned years of precedent, dismantled the right to choose, and laid the groundwork to attack the right to privacy and bodily autonomy. These rights have been the bedrock of LGBTQ+ equality and the reproductive rights movements. And without them, people who can get pregnant, who want to make their own health decisions, or who want to love who they want immediately found themselves at risk.
In a recent campaign ad, Spotlight candidate Molly Cook detailed her own abortion experience, stating; "When I had my abortion, they denied me dignity, love and respect." Over the last two years, we've read headline after headline detailing how so many have been denied that same dignity and respect because of anti-choice and anti-LGBTQ extremists.
We all have a stake in reenforcing and safeguarding privacy and bodily autonomy. I'm proud to say that LGBTQ+ Victory Fund is a pro-choice organization, and we've endorsed over 260 LGBTQ+ candidates who are dedicated to protecting the right to choose. Help us fight back against hateful extremism today - and protect the right to choose in November. Donate here. [[link removed]]

When the ruling was announced, so many LGBTQ+ elected officials and candidates sprang into action. In the U.S. Senate, Tammy Baldwin passed legislation to protect marriage equality. She's the driving force behind legislation to protect both abortion and contraception access. In the U.S. House, Becca Balint and our LGBTQ+ members of Congress are working to repeal the Comstock Act.
And in two key seats for the U.S. Congress, LGBTQ+ candidates are fighting tooth and nail to take down anti-choice and anti-LGBTQ+ incumbents. If Mondaire Jones can flip a seat in New York and Will Rollins can defeat anti-LGBTQ incumbent Ken Calvert in California, it's a sign we've taken back the U.S. House from extremists.
And that's just the start. LGBTQ+ state legislators in California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, New Jersey, Oregon, Vermont and Washington have expanded abortion access, while more states have enshrined abortion rights together with protections for LGBTQ+ people. In Florida, LGBTQ+ candidates are pushing for abortion access to appear on the ballot, while LGBTQ+ elected officials in states with trigger bans are working to repeal them.
When bigots overturned Roe , the candidates we worked overtime to elect sprang into action. They're working to protect our rights - and we have to make sure they have the resources to win again. Take a moment today to donate to support this essential work - and let anti-choice bigots know we won't be stripped of our dignity any longer. [[link removed]]
