Alexandria is a Campaign Associate at New Politics, assisting the campaign advising team in providing strategic guidance to candidates. She began her political career at 15, working for Texas State Senator Nathan Johnson, and has since been involved with various local, state, and federal campaigns. Before joining New Politics, she interned at the White House, as well as in the offices of Representative Katherine Clark and Senator Ed Markey.
Giona Picheco is a veteran of the United States Navy, where she spent six years in the submarine service. She became politically active after a discriminatory ban was put into place against transgender people serving openly in the military. Being singled out, and seeing so many other disadvantaged communities targeted by hate and ignorance, she decided to get involved in local advocacy once her service was completed.
