Less than 24 hours after the Washington Post published my comments about Republican Senator David Perdue’s history of corruption and self-dealing, Donald Trump proved exactly why we need to vote Perdue out.

Despite the fact that Perdue and his fellow Republican Senator Kelly Loeffler are implicated in a multimillion dollar insider trading scandal regarding COVID-19 information, Trump just named them to his COVID-19 Congressional Economic Task Force. Hard to believe, I know. But, we can beat Perdue. As I told the Washington Post:

“He really has, his entire professional life, skated on some pretty thin ethical ice,” she said. “And I think it plays into a narrative that makes sense to Georgians.”

Like you, friends, Georgians are sick of the corruption and self-dealing. We must retake the U.S. Senate. David Perdue doesn't deserve to serve, and with your help I will defeat him.

I’m the only candidate in this Democratic Primary race who’s won an election and who has governed. As a former mayor, public safety director, and head of Homeland Security, I can be ready on Day One. And as I told the Washington Post:

“We’re going to make political history in Georgia...It’s going to happen this year, and it’s going to happen in November.”

Friends, I am counting on you to pitch in right now and help me defeat David Perdue in this critically important election. Polling is within the margin of error and I’m rejecting corporate PAC money so I need you with me in this fight.
