    Health Insurance Coverage Projections, 2024–34

In their Ahead of Print article, Jessica Hale and colleagues outline the Congressional Budget Office's health insurance coverage projections for the US for 2024-34.

They estimate that currently 92.3 percent of the US population is insured and 7.7 percent are uninsured. The uninsured rate is expected to rise to 8.9 percent in 2034, with adults ages 19-44 most affected.

Medicare and Marketplace enrollment are also projected to grow.

To learn more about the findings, check out a new episode of Health Affairs This Week with insights from Sabrina Corlette of Georgetown University on CBO's insurance coverage projections.
