Dear Readers,
The work you’re doing in your communities is more important than ever. With the very sad news this week that 22 million Americans have applied for unemployment insurance in the last four weeks, we know that women will continue to be hit the hardest by this economic crisis. 59% of those 22 million are women. Your work addressing systemic injustice, the wage gap, the resulting healthcare crisis, and the social safety net, matters. Thank you for all that you do from building rapid response funds, to advocating for women-owned businesses, and providing safety and resources to women and families facing increased domestic violence. Together we can make a difference.
