John — I’m away from my computer right now as I celebrate my birthday with my wife, Eve, but I just had to take a moment to say thank you.
Because in the last year, since I was censured by the GOP in a blatantly partisan move, you’ve stepped up in a big way.
Through every attack lobbed at me, you’ve stood by my side.
When I’ve asked for your help, you’ve answered and offered your support.
During the most difficult moments of this campaign, you’ve reassured me that I’m doing the right thing:
That building the largest grassroots movement California has ever seen — a movement to protect our climate, make the economy work for us all, and defend our democracy — is what we need at this moment.
So as I ring in a new year, I want to thank you for making last year one of the most memorable, exciting years of my life.
I’m certainly looking forward to what’s ahead, and I’m grateful to have you by my side, John.
