James, the racism
and Islamophobia by Jamaal Bowman’s opponent is staggering — all backed by
AIPAC’s racist right-wing smear campaign and Hillary Clinton’s
endorsement.

In a recent debate, Bowman’s opponent said Jamaal has been “too focused on
Black and brown communities” in his district. It’s a disgusting thing to
say, especially for a candidate in a DEMOCRATIC primary. AIPAC’s guy seems
to think less time should be spent working for racial and economic justice
in NY-16.

In another recent debate, Bowman’s opponent said Jamaal’s “constituency is
Dearborn, Michigan” — a city home to one of America’s largest
Arab-American and Muslim populations. Jamaal’s opponent trotted out this
thinly-veiled Islamophobic remark to try to attack Jamaal for his support
for a Ceasefire in Gaza.

This race is a referendum on Peace in Gaza vs. unconditional support for
Netanyahu’s war on the Palestinian people. It’s no surprise that the AIPAC
and Clinton backed candidate supporting Netanyahu’s war is spewing racism
and Islamophobia.

It makes us wonder what “principles” Hillary Clinton was thinking about
when she endorsed Jamaal’s opponent.

Jamaal’s principles are clear. He will fight for racial, economic, and
social justice. He will fight for Peace in Gaza. He will fight for the
working class against the right-wing billionaires trying to take over our
political system.

It’s why, with just a few days left before the primary, we must do
everything we can to get voters in Jamaal’s district out to vote for him
on Tuesday.
