Hi John,

The all-important Mid-Year Deadline is a week away, and I wanted to let you know of a couple developments.

First, last week 10 separate "Kick-Out Kiley" rallies were held at intersections across the district, with signs you wouldn't believe. You can see photos they posted here [link removed].

Second, Adam Schiff is coming to our district

****for a fundraiser [link removed] with our opponent. There is no doubt Schiff is out for revenge after I made sure the censure against him passed and stuck.

The rallies - all ten of them - were truly unbelievable scenes. Demonstrators stuck out their tongues while holding a 20-foot "Kick-Out Kiley" banner. One sign read, "Kiley Cheats." (How exactly?)

Other slogans included "Kevin Kiley is not Kenough," "Kick Out Kiley (with an image of a boot)," "Kiley is MAGA, sad," "Kancel Kiley Out." Others were so bizarre, awkward, and graphic I don't even want to repeat them.

Another huge sign said "Save Our Democracy" - just as their hero, Gavin Newsom, has literally cancelled an election.

Our opponent Jessica Morse showed up, egging them on with a bullhorn. While Morse spent five years as Gavin Newsom's "Deputy Secretary," she resigned last fall to become a full-time candidate against us.

This is just a glimpse of what is to come. Given the massive funding coming from Newsom, Biden, Schiff, Swallwell, Pelosi, the DCCC, and more, we can expect busloads of demonstrators to be brought in to stop traffic at every corner.

We are already seeing a Super PAC spend huge money against us, and very soon you won't be able to watch TV without being served this propaganda.

Though I will admit: the reality is we brought this on ourselves. We had the nerve to win the seat that fired Pelosi as Speaker. We had the audacity to go to DC to fight back against Biden, to expose Newsom, and to counteract the insanity in California.

That is why they are targeting us. They don't mind milquetoast legislators who do what they're told; in fact, sometimes they find them useful. They are coming after us precisely because we are fighting and winning.

They see this as their one chance to stop our movement in its tracks.?? As our opponent herself puts it, "Kevin Kiley is a problem."

They have decided the way to solve this problem is through an overwhelming smear campaign unlike California has ever seen. I am more than ready to fight back, but I urgently need your help.
