One of the biggest success stories of our climate agenda has been offshore wind. Thanks to the efforts of President Biden and our SEEC members in Congress, we have been able to build a brand new industry that we’ve never seen before in the U.S.
This has the potential to reduce energy costs for millions of Americans. At a recent groundbreaking for the largest U.S. port dedicated to deploying offshore wind, SEEC member Rep. Dan Goldman (NY-10) called out that this new industry has only been made possible because of the investments we passed in the Inflation Reduction Act.
Because of the investments we have made, new offshore wind turbines being built around the U.S. coasts are already helping to power hundreds of thousands of homes and reduce energy prices.
However, these investments are in the crosshairs of Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans who want to starve this industry before it really gets going. We need your help to win this election and make sure they don’t have the power to take us backwards!
