I have good news and bad news, folks.

The good news is that we saw an incredible number of Virginians vote early in this week’s primary elections. Thousands upon thousands of voters turned out to support VA Democrats. This is a really positive sign heading into the General Election.

The bad news? Republicans took notice. And with the party embracing early voting more than they ever have before, they will without a doubt adapt their strategy in the coming months to get even more GOP voters to the polls in November.

Sure, there’s a lot of time between now and November. But with so much on the line if we fail – a national abortion ban, for starters – we have absolutely no room for error.

We won’t win in the Commonwealth if we don’t have the resources we need to fuel a massive mobilization effort. We have to stay focused on our goal of turning out the votes we need to win this November.
