Hi, Pittsburgh! 👋 It's Stephanie Mirah, PublicSource's audience growth and engagement producer.

Most of the time, my contributions to our newsroom don't come with a byline. But on Thursday, I went to Braddock with our photojournalism intern Jess Daninhirsch to learn more about a traveling clinic led by the Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh and Allegheny Health Network that aims to medically serve both pets and their owners who are facing financial hardships. Read our story here.

Also this week, we looked closer at Pittsburgh's spending habits since COVID, shared more about a citizen science project researching spotted lanternflies, captured perspectives from outside workers during Pittsburgh's hottest heat wave in three decades and shared the ongoing fears from Four Mile Run residents regarding flooding threats.

Finally, as we continue to publish stories in our investigative series, EQT's Gas Play, our environment and climate reporter along with our editor-and-chief are going to sit down for a behind-the-scenes look at the series during a virtual event on July 9 from noon to 1 p.m. If you're interested, please register here
