CNN’s planned exclusionary debate
not only makes a mockery of the media’s responsibility to inform the
public. CNN’s planning of this event exclusively with and for the
benefit of the Biden and Trump campaigns constitutes an illegal
coordinated communication with those campaigns under federal election
law, as well as an illegal corporate contribution to those candidates,
as demonstrated in the Stein campaign’s FEC complaint.
Jill Stein is already on enough
ballots to win the presidency. The media’s job is to inform voters
about the choices on their ballot, not to prop up the false choice of
the two establishment party candidates while preventing voters from
hearing other choices.
Unless Jill is included - along
with other candidates who will be on enough ballots in November to win
the election - CNN will destroy any credibility it now has as an
unbiased reporter on US politics.
