Dear Friends,
I hope you and your families are staying safe from the heatwave that’s sweeping across Illinois. I was in the district this week, meeting with local leaders to provide an update on the South Suburban Airport and celebrating over $250M coming to Illinois communities for new water infrastructure. I'm proud to champion these investments to ensure the long-term prosperity of the Second District.
Upcoming Events
On June 22nd, my office will host our Kankakee Veteran Housing Expo. This event is designed to help veterans and other community members connect with vital housing resources. I will also host a Privacy Fair on June 29th which will provide free drive-through document shredding and share resources on preventing identity theft.

$250M for Illinois Lead Water Service Line Replacement
This week, I joined the EPA to celebrate over $250M coming to Illinois to replace lead water service lines in communities across our state, including the Village of Hazel Crest. For the past eleven years, I have worked with my congressional colleagues, local and state officials, and federal partners to ensure that our communities in the Second District get the water infrastructure they need.
Northwestern University Women's Health Policy Summit
I was honored to join Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine and Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center for their Women's Health Policy Summit. These important discussions move us closer to a future where every woman can get the care she needs.
South Suburban Airport Press Conference

After decades of planning, the South Suburban Airport is one step closer to reality. I was proud to stand with local leaders and reaffirm our commitment to moving this project forward. The South Suburban Airport will bring jobs, infrastructure, and prosperity to the Southland.
