As Politico ([link removed]) reported, “California state senators negotiating a climate bond are focusing on a $10 billion price tag as they race to solidify a proposal by the June 27 deadline.” While the amount and precise purpose of the bonds may change, the signal these considerations send is undeniable – California’s political leaders want to tax and spend even more of their citizens’ hard-earned money.
