Friends,
I wanted to share an update on recent work and wins.
Last week, the House passed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which included two provisions I authored – countering Chinese Communist Party aggression toward Taiwan and awarding local San Diego ace Navy pilot Royce Williams the Congressional Medal of Honor for his valor during the Korean War. You can read more about Royce here.
I also introduced legislation to protect consumers from counterfeit goods sold online and grilled ESG advocates, exposing the hypocrisy of radical environmental, social, governance (ESG) policies being forced on the financial markets to promote the woke climate agenda and discourage fossil fuel investments.
In continued oversight of the Biden Administration, I voted to hold Attorney General Merrick Garland in contempt of Congress for his continued refusal to comply with congressional demand for the audio of the Special Counsel's damaging interview with President Biden.
And, in case you missed it, I joined nine other veterans serving in Congress for a parachute jump over Normandy, France to commemorate the 80th Anniversary of D-Day. What an honor to reflect on the Greatest Generation. Watch the footage of my successful jump here.
Finally, as we prepare to celebrate our nation’s 248th birthday on July 4th, you can now purchase an American flag flown over the Capitol here.
As always, it is an honor to serve as your representative in Congress. For more information, please visit my website at www.issa.house.gov.
