How are you? We are thinking about you with so much compassion during this time of heightened fear and grief.

At WAVE, we're really proud of the important gun violence prevention work we're continuing to do -- even though we are all working remotely. But, to be really honest with you, we're worried, too. We've had to cancel or postpone several in-person fundraising events and our spring direct-mail appeal. Related to this, we have important news to share.

As an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19, Tuesday, May 5, 2020, will be "Giving Tuesday Now" - a global day of giving and unity. To save the date and receive updates, please RSVP to our Facebook event.

Please keep WAVE Educational Fund in mind as we approach this important day, which -- like the usual end-of-the-year Giving Tuesday -- is designed to drive grassroots' generosity and engagement. We hope to use this day as an opportunity to create a Wave of Unity among our supporters and to raise money for WAVE programming. To bring supporters together, we hope to broadcast videos (e.g. meditations, poems, etc.). Your involvement is essential to our ability to prevent gun violence in Wisconsin. In particular, your generous donation for Giving Tuesday Now will help fund our youth summer programming.
