An expert on regional security in the Middle East, Central Asia, and the Russian Federation, he is a member of the Associated Faculty at Missouri State University's Department of Defense and Strategic Studies and his work has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, Foreign Affairs, the New York Times, The Washington Post and USA Today, among other publications.

A close observer of Iran, Mr. Berman will discuss the impact of COVID-19 on internal Iranian politics and the Islamic regime's aspirations in the region including Syria and Lebanon, and Israel.
