We hope you have had a great week and a wonderful Father’s Day on Sunday! In the middle of a busy week, we enjoyed celebrating Juneteenth for the third year as a federal holiday. Congressman Kim was proud to help establish the long-celebrated day as a federal holiday in 2021 to honor its collective purpose for our country. A celebration of freedom and progress, marking the end of slavery in America, we hope the day was an opportunity for everyone to reflect on the work ahead to combat injustices against our Black communities and deliver justice for all.

Congressman Kim Helps Secure $200,000 to Support Local Farm Workers

This week, we were thrilled to announce Moonshot Farm, a New Jersey family owned farm in East Windsor, was awarded a $200,000 grant to go toward recruitment and retention of their agricultural workforce. Congressman Kim was proud to help connect them to this opportunity as well as help fund the grant program through the passage of the American Rescue Plan in 2021!

The Congressman had a wonderful visit to the farm last year to see their sustainable growing practices up close and is glad this funding will help them look after every workers’ needs in a safe, healthy work environment.

Shining the Spotlight on those who Served

Today we shared our June Service Spotlight, Roy Plummer. His own service spans from his time in uniform as a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army to various leadership roles to be there for his local community. But his focus on military service goes much further into years spent telling the stories of men and women who served our nation. He wants to make sure people’s stories of service get told, and we were proud to help share his.

We are excited that a trial service to allow Americans to renew their passports online is up and running. But remember you can always renew in-person or by mail, and if you're having any trouble, reach out to our office to see if we can help!
