Happy Friday from #OneUtah, a weekly update from the Office of Gov. Spencer J. Cox. Here’s your recap of what we did this week, what's on the horizon, and more. Reply to this email with any questions or suggestions regarding the newsletter. And thank you for subscribing! ([link removed])

** Promoting housing innovation
------------------------------------------------------------

Thanks to supporters and sponsors of SB 168 for joining us for a special ceremonial bill signing this week. Utah needs more housing and so this legislative session we modified the state Building Code to allow for more modular home construction. Modular homes can be a game changer for rural communities, cities, and towns struggling to build housing quickly.

We’re on our way to building more starter homes across the Beehive State!

** Meeting with the next generation of leaders
------------------------------------------------------------

We were excited to welcome our state’s future leaders to the Governor's Honors Academy this week. SUU hosted the Governor's Honors Academy, which is an opportunity for high school students to learn, lead, and connect with others throughout the state. It is the next generation of leaders who will be making crucial changes to ensure Utah remains the number one state in the nation.

Congratulations to all who are attending the Governor's Honors Academy.

** Ensuring our energy security
------------------------------------------------------------

Making sure that Utah has the energy it needs to power our economy and improve our quality of life is a top priority for our administration. That’s why we’re excited to welcome SFC Energy to Orem. SFC Energy provides hydrogen and direct methanol fuel cells and we are excited to bring more sustainable and renewable energy solutions to our state. The partnership between SFC Energy, LiveView Technologies, and the state of Utah will foster future growth and innovation. Our future is bright!

** Strengthening relationships with Utah Tribes
------------------------------------------------------------

Lt. Gov. Henderson and I were honored to host the Utah Native American Summit last week at Utah Valley University and meet with Tribal leaders this week at our beautiful state Capitol. We value our Native communities and appreciate discussing the challenges that we all face as well as solutions with our Native leaders.

We’ll continue to listen and learn more about how we can work together to improve the quality of life for all Utahns.

** Remember to vote
------------------------------------------------------------

The Utah Primary Elections are next Tuesday, June 25. Lt. Gov. Henderson and the elections team have been working hard over the last weeks in preparation, and they want to make sure people remember the following.
* Mailed ballots must be postmarked by Monday, June 24.
* People can use drop boxes on Election Day or vote in person in a polling location on June 25.
* Track your ballot and get notified when your vote is counted. You can sign up at ballottrax.utah.gov.
