It’s been a busy week for Newsom and the Democrats in
manipulating voters and corrupting our democratic
process. They’ve now meddled in not just one, but two
citizen-led initiatives that aim to make crime illegal again and stop
new taxes.
CRIME
Last week, we exposed Newsom and Democrats’ corrupt, cynical plan
to manipulate voters at the ballot box in an effort to let criminals
roam free.
Democrats added poison pill amendments into wannabe “tough on
crime” bills. These amendments would repeal the Legislature’s crime
bill package if the “Homelessness, Drug Addiction, and Retail Theft
Act” passes at the ballot box. Democrats are blatantly manipulating
voters into picking one over the other.
Since facing bipartisan pushback, a desperate
Gavin Newsom has completely lost control
over the situation and is terrified of the power of the people. He
sent his Chief of Staff to threaten
the proponents of the initiative to remove it from this year’s ballot.

After my calls to withstand Newsom's corrupt pressure, the
proponents of the ballot initiative are rightfully moving forward with
it on this year's ballot.
Jamming poison pill amendments and threatening proponents to stop a
citizen-led initiative is anti-democracy. If Newsom
would just swallow his pride and put Californians’ safety above
politics, we could have both citizen-led and legislative reforms.
TAXES
Yesterday, the California Supreme Court removed
the Taxpayer Protection Act from the ballot at Newsom’s
request. This citizen-led initiative would have required
voter approval for all tax increases. To add insult to injury,
California taxpayers spent at least $40,000 on lawyers who helped
Newsom silence voters in the court case.
It’s extremely unusual for the court to step in and prevent the
people’s right to vote. I’m disgusted that the court failed its duty
to protect our democratic system and instead caved to the pressure
from Newsom and Democrats.
Californians are sick and tired of the never-ending tax
increases and this initiative would have stopped the constant
attacks on our wallets. This is not the end of the California tax
revolt—it’s only the beginning.
The California government has become extremely corrupt at
all levels—from the governor to the legislature and now to
the courts. As your Senate Republican Leader, I’m doing everything I
can do STOP the hijacking of our democratic process and
PROTECT your right to cast your vote freely and fairly.
We cannot let the Democrats get away with this voter manipulation
and silencing Californians at the ballot box. It’s time to take back
our state, take back the majority, and put an end to the Democrats’
corrupt rule.
Californians have had enough! For the first time in years,
Republican voter registration is growing and Democrat voter
registration is shrinking. Unfortunately, while we fight for
Californians, Democrats are lining their wallets with millions$$ from
special interests that continue to destroy our state.
