TOPEKA *— Today, Governor Laura Kelly announced 12 appointments to the following state authority, committee, commissions, and board.

*_Kansas Water Authority
_*Purpose: To review plans for the development, management, and use of the water resources of the state by any state or local agency.


* John Bailey, Pittsburg (reappointment)
* Jean Steiner, Manhattan (reappointment)
* Allan Soetart, Gardner (reappointment)
* Allen Roth, Hays (reappointment)

*_Literary Advisory Committee
_*Purpose: To monitor the progress of literacy training for in-service and pre-service teachers and literacy education of elementary and secondary students.


* Suzanne Myers, Lawrence

*_Supreme Court Nominating Commission
_*Purpose: To recommend qualified individuals for appointment to the Kansas Supreme Court.


* Carol Marinovich, Kansas City (reappointment)

*_Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board
_*Purpose: To protect the public’s health, safety, and welfare from unlawful or unprofessional practitioners who fall under the boards’ jurisdiction.


* Donna Hoener-Queal, Pratt (reappointment)
* Laura Shaughnessy, Roeland Park (reappointment)

*_Commission on Peace Officers’ Standards and Training
_*Purpose: To oversee law enforcement training in the State of Kansas.
