[1]Eugene Vindman for Congress

Last night, I had to make the toughest decision I've had since starting this campaign, and I want to tell you about it.

On Tuesday night, I won the Democratic nomination to represent Virginia’s 7th district in Congress.

But since then, my MAGA opponent has been firing attacks at me non-stop.

My team and I urgently came together to determine our strategy moving forward. And our best option was to urgently expand our digital advertising and outreach efforts to fend off the attacks.

The money wasn’t immediately the budget, but I gave my team the clear anyway. It wasn’t an easy decision, but it was a risk I was willing to take.

I approved the expense because it’s what we need to do in order to compete against the floods of MAGA mega-donor and super PAC money my opponent has in his war chest — and because I bet on this team, knowing you will help us fill the budget gap. That’s how much faith I have in this team and our pro-democracy movement.

The truth is, our FIRST FEC fundraising deadline of the general election is right around the corner. When we report our fundraising numbers, I want my MAGA opponent to know that we have two advantages in this race: our commitment to defending our democracy — and you.

So, on the heels of my difficult budget decision, I’m asking:

Can you please contribute $5, $10 or whatever you can afford to my campaign for Congress? We can close this budget gap quickly and win if everyone chips in.

Thank you in advance. I know I can count on you.
