John,

At this very moment, families across the country are talking about care. Whether it’s for ourselves, disabled loved ones, aging parents, siblings, or grandparents – we all have care in common.

It’s time to bring those conversations to the national stage. We’re calling on CNN to ask about care when the first presidential debate takes place next Thursday, June 27.

Act now >> Sign our petition calling on CNN to ask about care! [[link removed]]

As former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden head toward the November elections, we’re putting care on the roadmap for the term ahead.

Too many people are forced to make difficult decisions about how to make ends meet with the rising costs of care. On average, child care costs over $10k a year and aging & disabled care costs over $64k a year, and costs continue to skyrocket.

We need a care system that we can depend on when we need it most. That means:

Accessible aging and disability care
A federal paid leave program for all
Affordable access to child care across all states
Fair wages and good benefits for the care workers who make it all possible.

The issues of greatest concern to families, caregivers, disabled people, aging adults, and our economy don’t often get their attention in debates. But we won’t let our presidential candidates ignore this issue.

Together, we can ensure CNN moderators ask about care – so it’s on the roadmap for the next presidential term. Take action now. [[link removed]]

We deserve a care system that better serves us and lowers costs for families. We won’t stop fighting until we get it.

With care,
