Supreme Court rejects challenge to FDA's approval of mifepristone
— NPR, June 13, 2024
"By a unanimous vote, the court said the anti-abortion doctors who brought the challenge had failed to show they had been harmed, as they do not prescribe the medication, and thus, essentially, had no skin in the game. The court said that the challengers, a group called the Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine, had no right to be in court at all since neither the organization nor its members could show they had suffered any concrete injury."
Folks, Mifepristone is a safe and effective way to manage a pregnancy and every woman deserves the chance to make her own choice about when and where she decides to start a family.
This is a HUGE win for reproductive rights and for women across America. But the fight isn’t over. The extreme right is STILL on a mission to eviscerate reproductive rights and bodily autonomy for every single person, and only by winning a blue majority in the House, expanding our Democratic Senate majority and reelecting President Biden will we protect reproductive freedom for everyone.
So please, pitch in right now to help us defeat Josh Loyd and send Nikki back to Washington to keep fighting for our reproductive freedom.
