Earlier this month, I joined Vice President Kamala Harris, Governor Moore, our next U.S. Senator Angela Alsobrooks, and other leaders to highlight Gun Violence Awareness Day.

As the Supreme Court continues to side with gun companies and lives continue to be endangered because of lax gun safety laws across the country, we can reaffirm our commitment to preventing gun violence here in Maryland and across the nation.

Gun violence is the number one cause of death for children in this country. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We have to continue to work together at all levels of government to ensure our children, families, and communities are safe from gun violence.
