Trump Leads Biden in Swing States

Emmerson College Poll: New Emerson College Polling/The Hill state polls find former President Donald Trump with a slight edge on President Joe Biden in Arizona (47% to 43%), Georgia (45% to 41%), Wisconsin (47% to 44%) Nevada (46% to 43%), Pennsylvania (47% to 45%), and Michigan (46% to 45%), while Biden splits with Trump in Minnesota (45% to 45%). Voters were asked if Donald Trump’s criminal conviction of 34 felonies impacts their vote this November, or if it has no impact. A plurality in all states say it has no impact on their vote (Emmerson College). Townhall: This lack of effect hasn’t stopped the Biden reelection campaign from seizing on the narrative that Trump is a “convicted criminal,” including through a new ad released earlier this week (Townhall).

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Does Not Qualify for CNN Debate

NBC: Independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr. failed to qualify for the first presidential debate, hosted by CNN next week, officially setting up a one-on-one clash between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump. Kennedy hadn’t hit CNN’s polling threshold of 15% in at least four approved national polls, having only reached that mark in three surveys ahead of the deadline. He also fell short of the network’s ballot criteria, which required candidates to secure access in enough states to win 270 electoral votes, a significant task for a third party at this point in the election cycle (NBC). CBS: In May, Kennedy’s campaign filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission accusing CNN, Mr. Biden, Trump and their campaigns of violating federal election law. The Kennedy campaign claims CNN approached the debate criteria differently for Kennedy than for Trump and Mr. Biden, the presumptive nominees of their respective parties. The debate will take place before either the Democratic Party or the Republican Party hold their conventions to formalize their nominees. The Kennedy campaign is alleging the debate is an illegal campaign contribution to both Mr. Biden and Trump (CBS).

TikTok Bans Athletics Brand for Standing Up for Women’s Sports

Jennifer Sey: TikTok notified XX-XY Athletics on Tuesday that its account “has been permanently suspended because it doesn’t comply with our advertising policies.” No mention of what policy the brand was violating. I launched the brand XX-XY Athletics on March 25. It is the only athletic brand standing up for women’s sports and female athletes. The brand is for the protection of women’s sports and spaces because it is compassionate to advocate for women’s rights. We are against the inclusion of males in women’s sports and spaces because it is unfair and often unsafe for women and girls. We are not for banning anyone. We support the recent decision by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics that women’s sports remain female, while the current male category shifts to “open to all.” This eligibility policy would allow everyone, no matter how they identify, to compete in sports and enjoy all of the developmental advantages of doing so and uphold fairness for women (Washington Examiner). Texas Doctor Criminally Charged by DOJ for Whistleblowing About Hospital Providing Trans Surgery

Townhall: A Texas doctor being targeted by the Biden administration for exposing a child sex change program at a hospital spoke out about the ordeal on Wednesday in multiple interviews. Dr. Eithan Haim came forward to City Journal and revealed that Texas Children’s Hospital lied about terminating experimental, irreversible transgender services for kids. These services were offered to kids as young as age 11 and included puberty blockers, hormone treatments, and sex reassignment surgeries. In June 2023, Haim was scheduled to graduate from Texas Children’s residency program. That’s when federal agents appeared at his front door and informed him that they had identified him as the leaker in the City Journal story about transgender medicine for kids at the hospital. Haim now faces four felony counts of violating HIPAA. He could face up to a decade in prison (Townhall). Catholic Hospital Sued for Not Providing a Medically Assisted Suicide to a Patient

Catholic News Agency: The parents of a terminally ill woman who was transferred to another facility to be euthanized after St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, refused to allow the procedure on its premises are suing the provincial government and Providence Health Care, the Catholic health care provider that operates St. Paul’s Hospital. The couple’s lawsuit says their daughter’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms were violated by the British Columbia government’s religious exemption to the provincial medical assistance in dying (MAID) policy. The lawsuit filed in British Columbia’s Supreme Court on June 17 wants the province to remove the religious exemption (Catholic News Agency). National Review: The suit argues religious health centers that do not provide MAID violate a patient’s “freedom of conscience and religion” and “right to life, liberty, and security” guaranteed in the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Since patients under the Catholic hospital’s care are entitled to “freedom from religion,” the suit claims, Providence’s religious beliefs cannot dictate its health-care practices (National Review).

Los Angeles Constructs Luxury High Rise to House Homeless

Fox LA: On Wednesday, city officials celebrated the grand opening of a high-rise building in downtown Los Angeles that will serve as a shelter for homeless residents on Skid Row. The 228,000-square-foot mission-driven development, called the Weingart Center Tower, will comprise of 228 studio apartments, 47 one-bedroom apartments and three apartments dedicated to onsite managers (Fox LA). Charlie Kirk: Homeless in Los Angeles get free apartments valued at $600,000 per unit and $162 million total, all at taxpayer expense. Gazans get a $230 million pier that doesn’t work and $9 billion in aid even though we know much of that will be used to fund terror. Newly-arrived illegals get debit cards with cash, free housing in hotels, flights to anywhere, and free legal advice to game our asylum laws. Ukrainians get their pensions paid for and $170 billion in aid and munitions. Everywhere Americans look, deadbeats, foreigners, and criminals are gaming the system, breaking the rules, and ripping off taxpayers while those same taxpayers can’t afford eggs, gas, or rent (X).

San Francisco School District Pushes Wokeness on Students

Parents Defending Education: San Francisco Unified School District provides training to staff that labels “perfectionism” and “individualism” as characteristics of “white supremacy culture”; provides training that promotes illegal immigration with the idea that “no one is illegal on stolen land.” Parents Defending Education submitted a public records request to the San Francisco Unified School District seeking any materials provided or shown to staff during training regarding students who are immigrants or in the United States illegally. The district provided PDE with hundreds of pages of documents. One document that PDE received was titled “Characteristics of White Supremacy Culture.” The document has a list of perceived characteristics of white supremacy, including “perfectionism,” “sense of urgency,” “worship of the written word,” “individualism,” and “objectivity” (Parents Defending Education). Townhall: Not to mention, the school district provides guidance to staff for welcoming illegal alien students. This included a list of resources to be given to illegal aliens (Townhall).

Reform UK Party Looks to Drive Out DEI, Woke Ideology

National Review: In its new policy platform, the Reform UK party, led by Nigel Farage, pledged to protect free speech, prohibit “transgender ideology” in schools, and scrap diversity, equity, and inclusion policies. The Brexit Party was founded in 2018 and rebranded as the Reform UK party in in 2021. It has steadily gained support since then, capturing 16 percent of voters in a recent poll taken ahead of the upcoming July 4 election, compared to 21 percent for the Conservative Party and 41 percent for the Labor Party (National Review). Reform UK Party: Record mass immigration has damaged our country. The small boats crisis threatens our security. Multiculturalism has imported separate communities that reject our way of life. Divisive, ‘woke’ ideology has captured our public institutions. Transgender indoctrination is causing irreversible harm to children (Reform UK Party).

Poll Indicates NY Governor Kathy Hochul Reaches New Low in Approval

National Review: New York governor Kathy Hochul’s job-approval and favorability ratings dropped to a new low in a Thursday poll, as pluralities of voters say she either doesn’t care for their interests or fails to provide decisive leadership. Hochul’s approval rating stands at a record low of 44 percent, according to a statewide Siena College poll conducted last week, with 50 percent disapproving of her job performance since she assumed office in 2021 following the resignation of then-governor Andrew Cuomo. She is also seen unfavorably by 49 percent of respondents, compared with 38 percent who view her in a positive light (National Review). Disney’s Worst-Kept Secret: They Discriminate Against Hiring White Men

This is a surprise to no one. Outkick: It’s a not-so-well-kept-secret that the Walt Disney Company often prioritizes skin color in hiring over things like experience, ability and qualifications. Of course, the company is smart, so they try to hide this. But a damning video captured by O’Keefe Media Group, founded by James O’Keefe, shows a Disney executive, Michael Giordano, telling an undercover reporter all about the discriminatory practices. “Certainly, there have been times where there’s no way we’re hiring a white male for this,” Giordano said. The reporter suggests that this was an “unspoken” agreement, but Giordano shared that it’s actually been said in front of him. However, he said that they are careful how they message those things to outside parties, like talent agents (Outkick).
