As you prepare to take the stage in the first debate of the 2024 cycle, we’re reflecting on your first term and all of its historic achievements.
From overseeing the creation of 15.6 million jobs and the lowest unemployment rates in 50 years, to signing into law the most significant gun violence reduction measure in nearly three decades, to fighting to restore Roe v. Wade as the law of the land again, we’re grateful for all the ways you’ve fought for us – and we know you’re ready to finish the job for the next four years.
And you're not alone: Democratic governors are your allies in the states and partners in your fight for progress. Together, you and Democratic governors are crucial to protecting our rights and stopping extremist attacks at every level.
While Republicans are pouring millions into electing a dangerous convicted felon and fighting to obstruct your work, block critical legislation to help everyday people, and lean into divisive political extremism, we continue to look to your steadfast leadership.
We know there is so much on the line this November – voting rights, abortion rights, essential programs like Social Security and Medicare, and more – and we cannot thank you enough for your unwavering commitment to protect our fundamental rights and freedoms.
