Republicans are getting nervous, John... After experiencing nearly four years of Governor Greg Gianforte’s backwards leadership, Montana voters made their voices heard in the primary: Gianforte received the lowest vote share for an incumbent Montana governor in at least 44 years. And in MT-01, extremist Ryan Zinke faced a similar rejection from voters: Despite outspending his primary opponent by nearly 50 to 1, he secured just three-quarters of the vote! Montana Republicans, Democrats, and Independents alike have made it clear: Voters are sick and tired of Republicans’ record of raising property taxes, worsening an out-of-control housing crisis, and attacking reproductive freedom.
John, these results represent voters’ continued frustration with Montana Republicans and their record of division and dysfunction. And who can blame them? All Republicans care about is selling off our public lands and banning abortion in all 50 states. On the other hand, Democrats are delivering impactful solutions — like lowering prescription drug prices for seniors and improving Montana’s infrastructure. We’re traveling far and wide to ensure Montana voters know all about the stakes in this race — but we need your help to keep up the fight.
