As I have mentioned to you over email a few times before, the COVID-19 outbreak has changed the way that we campaign. With all in-person gatherings postponed indefinitely, we have transitioned our entire operation online.
Still, we know how important this campaign is - both to beat Lee Zeldin and to make sure that science has a fierce advocate in Washington - and I need your help.

On our conference call, we will talk about why now more than ever we need leaders with scientific backgrounds in Congress. And nobody can speak to this better than our three special guests, Congressman Bill Foster (D, IL-14), Fmr. Congressman Rush Holt, and 314 Action Founder and President Shaughnessy Naughton.
We know how important it is to win our purple district, especially because Zeldin has chosen to put his effort into protecting Trump instead of protecting the needs of our community - but we have a lot of work to do. Earlier this week, we learned that Zeldin has raised over $3 million for his 2020 re-election, nearly $1 million of which comes from special interest PACs. On the other hand, with the help of this extraordinary team, we have raised more than almost any first-time Democratic challenger in the country. But still, to compete with Zeldin and get our pro-science message to the voters of NY-01, I need your help now more than ever.
