John,
Last week’s overturning of the ban on bump stocks1 by our nation’s highest court left me angry - and more determined than ever to elect leaders who value the lives of North Carolinians over easy access to rapid fire weapons and gun lobby money.
To that end, I’m inviting you into the work of electing a governor who will put the lives of our communities and our kids first: Attorney General Josh Stein.
Sign up for an upcoming virtual phone bank:
Thurs. 6/27 at 6:15pm
Tues. 7/2 at 6:15pm
Can we count on you to volunteer with us at an upcoming phone bank?
Here's why this race is so critical: As Attorney General, Josh Stein has worked to keep our communities safe, advocating to close gun loopholes in federal law. (By contrast, his opponent, Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson, is a favorite of the NRA; in 2020, the NRA spent $82,000 on mailers about him and made $5,400 in direct contributions to his campaign.2)
Sign up to phone bank with us and elect Josh Stein, a leader truly committed to preventing gun violence in our state.
In solidarity,
Sara Smith
Organizing Director
