Tell Congress: Protect Our Food System From COVID-19!
TAKE ACTION

Dear friend,
Families who struggle to afford healthy food and the people working around the clock to keep our food system running need our help now more than ever.
But Congress isn’t doing enough to support these workers or to ensure that hungry families – families just like yours – have access to healthy food during the COVID-19 pandemic.
We need to protect the source of America’s food, so that all of us have enough to eat, even in the most difficult times.
EWG is calling on Congress to take simple steps to ensure that every American has healthy food.

Here’s what we’re asking Congress to do:
* Increase SNAP benefits, also known as food stamps, by 15% and ensure all who need them have access to these benefits.
* Provide personal protective equipment, hazard pay, sick leave and health care for all farm and food workers.
* Do more to help mom-and-pop restaurants and family farmers.
* Enforce food safety and labor laws to protect food and farm workers and keep our food safe from pesticides and pathogens.
These are small, simple steps that will have a big impact. But Congress needs to take action now to make sure the source of our food remains strong.
Please urge your representatives to stand up for our farm and food workers so that we can make sure that all Americans have food on the table.
